Lovejoy beat Melissa 8-1 behind a lights out performance on the mound behind Senior Brett Lanman. The big lefty pitched 6 innings allowing only 2 hits striking out 15.
Offensively, the Leopards started slow but came alive in the fifth innings scoring 5 runs. Hutchins, Jacob, Mainord and Marshall all had RBI's in the innings. Other highlights include Logan Corley who collected 2 hits and scored twice. Lovejoy will face Greenville next Tuesday at Greenville.
