Last weekend the girls varsity soccer team played in the Duncanville Classic. In the first game, the team beat Mansfield Timberview 4-1. Goals were scored by Taylor Person, Mia Reaugh, Cambry Patrick (2). Assists were by Emmy Wood, Taylor Person (3). In the second game, the girls won a back and forth game vs. Arlington 1-0. Mia Reaugh assisted a stunning goal by Emma Smith from 30 yards out into the upper 90 side netting. In the last game of the tournament, the team tied Ursuline 1-1 with the tying goal coming in the last two minutes scored by Kate Carlson and assisted by Mia Reaugh.
Big shout out to goalkeeper Nicole Young and defenders Emma Nelson, Amiya Callicutt, Emmy Wood, Maggie Manders, Ainsley Johnson, and Cambry Patrick for excellent performances in the back.
The varsity team is 6-0-1 heading into the district play on Tuesday, 1/26, vs. The Colony.
