Varsity Leopards Drops Game to Sherman After Late Score.
Varsity Baseball lost 4-3 to Sherman. Sherman scored a lone run in the 5th inning to take the lead for good. Trent Rucker started on the mound and went 3 innings giving up 3 runs, one earned and struck out 3 Sherman hitters. Brett Lanman came in and pitched two innings and Dominic Dechant pitched the last two innings. Lanman took the loss.
Offensively, Matthew Mainord 1-3 (2RBI), Trent Rucker, Aidan Smith and Kyle Branch each had a hit as well.
The Leopards drop to 21-7 on the season and 8-3 in district play.
