Girls Soccer Win Penalty Shootout vs. The Colony

On Friday night, to open up the district season, the varsity girls soccer team tied The Colony 0-0 and won the penalty shootout 4-3. Nicole Young saved the last penalty to win the shootout. Nicole also shared the clean sheet with goalkeeper Hailey Downing and defenders Amiya Callicutt, Sadie Dale, Jordan Watson, Callan Snider, Cambry Patrick, and Emma Smith. Hannah Dunlap, Taylor Person, Callan Snider, and Cambry Patrick finished off their penalties.

The JV team beat The Colony 1-0. The lone goal was scored from a corner kick by Sophie Arriaga and finished by Kailey McDonald. Emily Noack and Cadence Rabalais were in goal for the clean sheet.

Next game up for the Leopards is Tuesday night, 1/26, at 5:30/7:15 at Wylie East High School.
