Lovejoy watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 9-5 loss to Rockwall on Thursday.
The Leopards scored one run in the second inning on a double by Dylan Collins and a single by Brett Sabin. In the 3rd third inning Lovejoy scored three runs on a singles by Trent Rucker, and Kolby Branch and a double by RW Rucker. Finally, in the 7th inning a run was scored as well with consecutive singles by Adam Eschler and Collins. In that inning, Lovejoy brought the tying run to the plate, unfortunately the inning ended on a fly ball for the third out.
Dominic Dechant took the loss giving up eight hits on 3 innings of work. Offensively, Adam Eschler and Dylan Collins led the Leopards with two hits a piece.
Lovejoy is now 5-2 on the season.
