JV Black extended their win streak by beating Princeton Friday night 33-27. Leading scorers for the Leopards were Linnea Maddux with 8 points, Avae Odza with 7, Chloe Schaeffer and Kendall Dodson with 4, and Soli Stubbs, Maddie Rumsey, Logan Rose, Annalysa Ritchie all with 2 points. The JV looks to finish the second round undefeated at home Tuesday against McKinney North.
Varsity
The varsity defeated Princeton by a score of 55-28. Lovejoy was led by Grace Bennett with 16 points. Other scorers included Julia Brochu 10 points, Addison Hand 10 points, Samantha Basson 7 points, Carsen McFadden 6 points, Carly Ludlow 4 points, and Lily Herran 2 points. Other statistical leaders were Carsen McFadden 9 rebounds, Carly Ludlow 3 steals, Samantha Basson/Carsen McFadden 4 assists apiece. The win secured a playoff spot for the Leopards.
All 3 teams will be back in action on Tuesday at 5:00/6:15/7:30pm as they host McKinney North on Senior Night. Please wear blue to the game in honor of Clay Chapman.
