Boys deserve more; tie with Sulphur Springs
Friday night the Leopard men traveled to Sulphur Springs in their last challenge before taking on district play on Tuesday. While the boys were met with a tough and physical Wildcat side, the squad handled the pressure with great ball control and composure. Although the Leopards won in 50/50 balls, passes completed, and possession, a late equalizer by Sulphur Springs earned the split. Diego Rodriguez tallied the only Leopard mark of the night, putting a loose ball in front of the net away in the corner of the goal to give the Leopards a 1-0 lead. The boys could not hold on however, conceding a set piece equalizer with 8 minutes left. The squad has a quick turnaround this week as they travel to Wylie East on Tuesday to kick off district play.
