Mens Soccer rolls past Ryan
The men got back on track tonight, beating hosts from Denton Ryan, 3-0. What started out as a very evenly matched competition, with both sides threatening in the first 10 minutes, gave way to a assortment of chances that the Leopards were able to convert into goals. 12 minutes into the game, Gavin Moore found Riley O'Donnell racing past Ryan's back line of defenders, and O'Donnell calmly passed the ball into the back of net. The next goal O'Donnell used his pace once again to beat Raider defenders and blistered a cross into the 6 yard box that Cade Novicke redirected into the net to give the boys a 2-0 lead. 4 minutes later, Gavin Moore was the recipient of a great O'Donnell play and finished a beautiful ball delivered by the striker. The second half was one that did not provide any tallies, but saw the Leopards play most of the half in Denton Ryan's territory. The boys will use this week to get their legs under them before they travel to Sulphur Springs in the last non district game of the season.
