JV Red
The JV Red team had an all around team victory with everyone scoring in the win against Princeton Tuesday night at home. The Lady Leopards jumped out in an aggressive press early and were up 22-2 at the end of the first quarter. Margo Friloux led all scorers with 12 points. Shelby Tokarz added 7 and Linnea Maddux had 6. Audrey McCaffity and Elliot Pomeroy each scored 4 points. Triniti Chambers-Guinard, Ashlyn DuBois, Bella Levin, Annalysa Ritchie, Maya Ashfour, and Ava Bouldin each had 2. The JV Red improves to 14-6 overall and 3-1 in district. They will take on McKinney North Friday to finish off the first half of district play.

JV Black

JV Black pulled out an exciting district win at home defeating Princeton, 42-41. Leading scorers for the Leopards were Kendall Dodson with 11, Katie Dolberry with 9, Chloe Schaeffer and Soli Stubbs each with 5, Kailyn Allen with 3, and Maddie Clancey with 2. The JV will finish out the first round of district on Friday at McKinney North.

Varsity
The varsity defeated Princeton by a score of 48-47 to improve to 3-1 in district play. The Leopards overcame a six point deficit in the final minute to get the big district win. The comeback started with an offensive rebound from Carsen McFadden and a kick out to a three point basket from Julia Brochu at the 58 second mark to trim the Princeton lead to 46-43. After Princeton split a pair of free throws on the next possession, Carsen McFadden drew a foul and went to the line where she made both of her free throws to get the Leopards within two at 47-45. The Leopards swarmed Princeton ball handlers on the next possession leading to a Julia Brochu steal with 30 seconds left in the game. On the final offensive possession of the game for the Leopards, Carsen McFadden drove the ball to the lane and pitched it out to Samantha Basson for the go ahead three point shot with 15 seconds to play making the score 48-47. The Leopards made one last defensive stand as Princeton tried to throw it inside but Addison Hand disrupted their set, and they were forced into a desperation three point shot at the buzzer that never reached the rim.

Lovejoy was led by Carsen McFadden (20 points/16 rebounds) and Addison Hand (10 points/16 rebounds) who both recorded a double-double. Other scorers included Julia Brochu 8 points, Carly Ludlow 4 points, Grace Bennett 3 points, and Samantha Basson 3 points. Other statistical leaders were Carsen McFadden 4 steals, Addison Hand 6 blocks, and Mallory Adamson/Carsen McFadden/Samantha Basson 3 assists apiece.

The Leopards will be back in action on Friday as they travel to McKinney North for games at 5:00/6:15/7:30pm
