The 7th grade boys A team won the Collin County Tournament by defeating Frisco Fowler 41-27, Frisco Trent 33-31, and Prosper Hays in the final 38-24. The second round matchup with Frisco Trent was especially gratifying for the Leopards at they trailed by 9 at one point and came back to beat a previously undefeated Trent team. Everyone on the team played a part in the Leopards winning the tournament but the standouts were Eli Repak as he scored 28 total points including 7 three pointers in the tournament. Luke Lytle played a big part after missing the first game by scoring 8 points in the semi finals and 10 points in the finals. Tate Ziemkiewicz played well directing the Leopards from the point guard position. Braeden Smith and Dillon Sears were called up for the tournament and contributed by making several baskets and playing good defense. Wyatt Underdahl played well in the post, grabbing rebounds and hitting a big 3 in the championship game. RJ McIntosh did a little of everything to help the Leopards win all 3 games. The Leopards stand at 5-2 going into the Christmas break and will resume playing Jan. 8th.
