Lovejoy walked off Crandall in the bottom of the 5th to advance to round 2 of the 5A playoffs. The final score was 14-4.
Brett Lanman was his usual dominant self as the big lefty allowed only 1 hit and struck out 6 in his 4 innings of work.
Offensively, Lovejoy did some serious damage via the long ball as 3 Leopards homered (Aidan Smith, Owen Stevenson and Garrett Hutchins). Matt Mainord drove in the 2 winning runs on a sharp line drive to left center.
The Leopards will face Texas High (Texarkana) in round 2.
