Pitching, Defense Show Up Against Princeton
Lovejoy beat Princeton 2-0 Tuesday night to get to 8-1 in district play led by 2 strong outings on the mound.

Grant Harlan cruised through 2 and 2/3 innings allowing no hits before having to exit due to an elbow injury. Brett Lanman picked up right where Harlan left off. The senior lefty pitched the remaining 4.1 innings allowing only 2 hits and striking out 9.

After 2 runs in the first inning off RBI hits from Owen Stevenson and Kyle Branch, the Leopards were stiffled the rest of the game by Princeton starter, Ayers.

Leopards are back at it Friday at Princeton followed by a non-district contest at Globe Life Field against Plano East Saturday.
