BOYS VARSITY BASKETBALL BEATS KAUFMAN, WINS 3RD PLACE IN THE GETSO

The Leopards played 2 games Saturday in The Great East Texas Shootout in Brownsboro, TX. The first was against the high paced Mansfield Legacy Broncos. The Leopards fought hard but fell short to the eventual GETSO 2019 Champion by 8 points, 54-62. The Leopards were led in scoring by Mitchell Weaver with 14 points. Carson Holden added 12 points and Jared Langs had 9 points. With the loss in the semifinals, The Leopards moved on to face Kaufman for the 3rd place trophy. The Leopards found themselves in a close one leading by 3, but ran away with the game in the second half winning by 18 points, 62-44! 3rd Place!! The Leopards were led in scoring by Jared Langs with 14 points. Sean Calhoun put in 11 points, and Owen Abramson and Reid Westervelt both chipped in 8 points.
